Day 1
Pick-up and welcome at the meeting point: La Palmera suspension bridge
We will meet you at the meeting point, the impressive La Palmera suspension bridge, to welcome you and start our adventure. You will discover the history of this narrow suspension bridge, which has recently been transformed for vehicle traffic, and which has left an indelible mark on Finca Palmonte. After a brief explanation, we will walk together across the bridge, where you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the great Pastaza river and take unforgettable photos.
Arrival at Finca Palmonte
After being received at the meeting point, we will transfer comfortably in our 4×4 vehicle to the entrance of Finca Palmonte. If the weather permits, we will have the opportunity to take a guided walk through an old path, where you will learn about the history, flora and fauna of the area.
Presentation “Finca Palmonte – an ecotourism refuge”
First there will be a presentation “Finca Palmonte – an ecotourism refuge” accompanied by images and a brief explanation of the ecotourism project developed at the farm and its history. In addition, there will be an audiovisual tour of the most emblematic species of flora and fauna that can be observed on the property throughout the year.
Visit to the garden
During the guided tour through the garden of the Finca, visitors will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy the diversity of the flora and fauna, accompanied by us, Arlette and Alex, owners of Finca Palmonte. We will provide information about the species that can be found on the property and share our knowledge about the importance of nature conservation in the region.
Lunch and return to the meeting point
While observing the hummingbirds, we will enjoy a tasty lunch while talking about the history and nature that surrounds us. After lunch, we will be able to rest in the middle of nature and enjoy the tranquility and magic that this place offers us. Finally, after having experienced a very special day, we will return to the meeting point at La Palmera bridge.
